Enjoy the rides at Splash Planet

Opened originally as Fantasyland in 1968, the park is now transformed into the funtastic water theme park which spreads over 6.5 hectares.
Explore the cycle trails
Enjoy the morning fresh and some light exercise while you explore the Cycle Trails of Napier. Hire some bikes and pick up a map at the local i-SITE and you'll be on your way. Not only can you ride to some of New Zealand's premier wineries and Hawke's Bays attractions, but the pathways to get there are flat, fun and completely off-road.
Visit the National Aquarium
Get as close to the ocean as you can without getting your feet wet at the National Aquarium of New Zealand. Travel beneath the enormous oceanarium or take a behind the scenes tour to discover the abundant marine life living at the aquarium. Adjacent to Napier’s i-SITE on Marine Parade, Par2 MiniGolf’s 18-hole putting courses are perfect for challenging your family and friends at all skill levels. There are two courses for you to choose from: Deco Drive is curved amongst landscaped gardens with tricky slopes or Pacific Pro-Am is full of wacky angles and water hazards wending through the trees.

Take a self-guided prison tour
Listen to stories of villains, victims and heroes while you wander through the cells. Get locked up in solitary confinement or a padded cell before stepping into the hanging yard and walking past the graveyard. Take your mug shot and even get your fingerprints done as a souvenir to take home.
Visit the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre
Explore that fascinating world of the humble honeybee in a modern and interactive environment at the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre. It can be found on its original site in the lovely village of Havelock North where they offer free, self-guided, drop-in tours of their centre providing an amazing insight into the life of the honeybee and its relationship with humans.
See the animals at Farmyard Zoo
Hand feed the animals at the safe, clean environment of the Hawke's Bay Farmyard Zoo. They have animal food, Pony Rides, lamb feeding & the farmyard express train. Continue to Wairarapa
To continue the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail, drive south through the Tararua district to the boutique vineyards of the Wairarapa. An easy circuit through pastoral landscapes to outlying vineyard clusters and charming small villages. Allow at least half a day for the drive.Travel South
